How Montreaux learned about the threat of Jennifer and alerted Mayflower. Grapes had been watching her since 2005. Nature of ц in other countries: how other countries are manipulated. What Grapes told Radspinner about Daryl and Jennifer Quigley. Ace is having trouble with galaxy.net. They discuss it. Radspinner tells Ace about Collette Bunt, whom Ace decides to meet. Athena explains her origins as the Synthfemme, about the bugs and the nerves (nerves led to her manufacture), and why Radspinner married her: "He says I know too much to argue or to judge." Chapter 20. 9 Nov 11. Collette Bunt achieves holographic interferometry. She foils the Diana Cabal, wiping out Madame Chateaubriand's Chocolates for Women. Diana Cabal was M'nalh plot to feminize the species; if attempt failed, M'nalh intended to exterminate H. sapiens and not risk contamination of the rest of the galaxy. [ pp, total = ]
Chapter 21. 9 Nov 11. Battle in Alaska. Arrival of Mayflower. Appearance of Jennifer Quigley. The fact that it was the black hole in Geneva that drew both the M'nalh and the Pwindaq to Earth (Mayflower was already there). Why the M'nalh and the Pwindaq are enemies. M'nalh are policemen of the galaxy, trying to make everyone feminine. Pwindaq are in it for the technology -- no species had ever before hit on the idea of holographic interferometry. Black holes as crystal balls. Mayflower accuses Mangabey of torching Elysium. Mangabey denies it. They both realize that there's another contender they don't know about. How possible, given bugs and nerves? Radspinner: Why Elysium was destroyed: too much prying getting too close to his secrets. Why not detected: signal to noise ratio. "On Earth we have a saying: garbage in, garbage out." Mayflower and Mangabey embrace in death. Mayflower pincers off Jennifer's head: she's exposed as Iks-Iksa, she dissociates.
